Victoria Lynch

Victoria Lynch is a fifteen-year-old Sophomore at Stafford High School in Fredericksburg, Virginia where she is a member of the Awkward Pause Improv team, the Advanced Women’s Treble Chamber Choir, and was recently inducted into the International Thespian Society.

Victoria began her singing career in the bathtub, singing to her barbie dolls and later giving impromptu concerts to everyone she knew. “Hi! I’m Victoria. Want to hear me sing?” was what could be heard by people standing in line behind her mother in grocery stores or simply walking down the sidewalk. At four-years-old, Victoria was already singing and entertaining the public.

In middle school she met her mentor in her choir teacher Mrs. Paula Scarbrough who fostered Victoria’s love of Broadway, live stage productions, and singing for a live audience. Some of Victoria’s favorite roles were performed under her direction. Victoria recognizes the dedication and support of teachers and the importance of keeping the arts in schools.

When Victoria is not attending Stafford High School, Victoria continues her dance education in tap and ballet at Polaris Dance Institute. She also receives voice training by her much beloved voice coach, Mrs. Chris Johns without whom her entry in this competition would not be possible. Victoria thanks Mrs. Chris for her encouragement, guidance, and training.Victoria is a Girl Scout Senior who is active in the community and volunteers wherever she is needed. Her favorite volunteer activity is the annual haunted house at Drew Middle School where she attended for three years.Raised by a mother who is a retired United States Marine, Victoria respects all veterans, their service to our country, and searches for opportunities to volunteer in support of them. Her most noteworthy volunteer singing event was to sing the National Anthem at the SemperK9 graduation of service dogs for veterans as this organization makes such an impact on our nation’s heroes.

Victoria’s accomplishments include: selection to all-county choir (4), selection to all-district choir (2), varsity letter in Choir, selection to the Stafford High School Advanced Women’s Chamber Choir, and selection to dance at Walt Disney World in the Dance the Magic Christmas Parade.
