Celebration of Music is a brand new PBS talent series that showcases and celebrates the best young musical talent present in the U.S. today, hosted by teenage musical superstar Ethan Bortnick.
LA talent search that focuses on music and the arts without the drama! PBS is a family friendly network that promotes music and the arts in a wholesome and entertaining way. This talent search will continue the PBS tradition of inspirational family programming.
Absolutely not! The show is completely free to enter for all contestants!
Anyone between the ages of 4-21.
All submissions are welcome. You can be in a band, group, choir, duet, or completely solo – and anything in between.
Anything that relates to Music! Whatever you feel is your best talent/talents and what you want to showcase to everyone watching you on TV. You can sing, ballroom or hip hop dance, play an instrument or do anything else that has to do with music. Be creative and show your originality. You are welcome to submit multiple videos if you have them, or just one video.
All varieties! The show is here to celebrate the very best and most diverse talent possible, so everything is welcome – rock, pop, jazz, classical, rap, Broadway and anything else you can think of (but no profanity please).
All contestants are also encouraged to be as unique, and really surprise audiences with their skills. Think Ed Sheeran on violin, a cappella Sinatra covers, or completely original songs or arrangements. We love to see new diverse takes we haven’t seen before and fusion of different music genres.
Once you’ve applied and been selected, contestants will join Ethan at their local PBS station for a fun segment in front of the cameras. They’ll answer questions, share stories, talk music/influences, and perform live in the studio for their chance to win.
The winner of each location will get to perform 1 or 2 solo numbers live on stage with Ethan at a concert in their area.
On top of that, winners will also get to record a professional single with Ethan that will go on sale on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, etc., as well as a possible professional entertainment contract with the show’s production/talent management company, Sun and Sky Entertainment.
Don’t worry, they get something too. In keeping with the spirit of the show (and PBS as a network), all contestants who appear on the show will get the opportunity to join Ethan live on stage for the grand finale song.
The winner is decided through TV and internet audience voting and announced live at the concert itself.
You’ll be contacted by one of our talent producers to confirm the submission after you apply, and then will hear back closer to the recording date if you’ve been selected.

He’s also made multiple appearances on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”, “Oprah”, “Good Morning America” and much more, and now wants to offer other amazing young people all across the U.S. that same chance at stardom – and empower you to inspire even more along the way.
