The Northwood's Band
It began with Hunter McCullough and Dennis Pearson and Colton McCullough about 5 years ago. We added Ricky Sundstrom about 2 years ago. Dennis moved to Florida to attend graduate school to continue studying music last fall and that is when we added Dalton Hanson. We're all graduates of Two Harbors High School. Two Harbors has an amazing pool of talent and the community embraces and fosters every bit of it!! We are very lucky for the continued support of our home town!
We are a cover band mainly covering classic rock and country. But, we're known for our wide variety of music. We play music from the 1950s to current. We also take requests. Each of us has dabbled with writing our own music, but we have yet to bring our originals together to perform for an audience. We're also known for our instrument changes. Each of us plays multiple instruments so we're often switching it up on stage.
We gig all around Minnesota and have even played in Canada. With the amazing support of our community, we won the Duluth Reader's Best Band of the Northland award 2 years in a row and the Duluth News Tribune's Best Local Band of 2018. We tied for 2nd place for Lake Superior Magazine's best band award (2nd place to Trampled by Turtles).
We are very thankful and blessed to be doing what we love ..... playing music!
