Celebration of Music - Talent Search

Shohini Chakraborty was born on May 23, 2007. She is 12 years old and goes to Winston Churchill Middle School in 7th grade. Her first stage show in singing was when she was 4 years old in a community cultural program. Since then she has performed in multiple events and competitions. She has bagged the “Voice of Bay Area” Award in 2019 and in the same year she won the 2nd Runner Up in an Indian International Competition called Meri AawazSuno in New Jersey. She got 6th place in “Go for The Gold” competition in Sacramento held in Sac State. Apart from vocals, she leans piano. She was one of the finalists in Sac Has Talent and was on Access Sacramento TV when she was only 6 years old for singing My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion. She loves singing and wants to be a singer and performer when she grows up. She volunteers once a week and teaches music to the kids in an organization called ‘WeEmbrace California’ which helps kids and adults with special needs.
