Olivia Jansen
Hi, my name is Olivia and I am a 12 year old from Shelton, CT where I live with my parents, two sisters and brother. I have had a passion for singing and acting since I can remember. My parents say I was singing before I could even talk.
Although I was shy, I began taking musical theatre classes at Center Stage Theatre when I was 9 and instantly came out of my shell. My first musical was A Christmas Carol, followed by Children of Eden and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. From there I was cast as the title role in Annie in back to back performances at Center Stage Theatre and Downtown Cabaret Theatre. I most recently played my dream role of Lavender in Matilda the Musical at the Thomaston Opera House.
In addition to theatre I continue to take acting and dance classes and perform with my school drama club and choir. I currently take voice lessons with my awesome teacher Kelsey at Voice By Chelsea. I also enjoy playing piano and strumming my ukulele as well as reading and playing outside.
I am thankful for my family and friends for always supporting me and am so excited for this amazing opportunity. I hope to someday fulfill my dream of being on Broadway and hope I can inspire others to follow their dreams too.
