Music has always been a part of my life. When I was a little kid, my mother was an active folk singer/songwriter and my father was in a blues band. A lot of my childhood memories revolve around spending time at live venues and watching my parents perform their music. Now, I am the one they follow around on the road. Besides singing along to the radio, I did not begin to sing in public until I was a sophomore in high school. Ever since my first performance, I have been performing all over New England and as far south as Nashville. I found a deep love for country music in high school, especially with artists such as Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings. Growing up in Rhode Island, country music is a strange genre to perform but, I have always en-joyed standing out in a crowd. Writing songs is a hobby I’ve had since I was in eight grade. I did not sing and I could barely play the guitar at that time but, for some reason, I thought I could write music. Over many years of practice, I have built up a growing arsenal of original songs that I add, regularly, to my set lists. I love writing music and it’s something I hope to make a career out of.

I am currently finishing up my last semesters at the University of Rhode Island. I am ma-joring in communication studies and minoring in music. Following my graduation, I plan on moving to Nashville to seek out a career in country music. If all else fails, I plan on working in the radio business. Many folks say I have a face for radio. No matter what, I want to be actively involved in music for the rest of my life. The joy I receive from listening to music is something I would like to give back to future listeners to come.
