Celebration of Music - Talent Search

Hello! I’m Magnolia Bailey from Crestwood, Kentucky, and I will be a junior at Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville this year. I just turned 16 in July. I was born in Minnesota, where I began dancing at age 2. I moved to Kentucky when I was 8, and began dancing here in Louisville for The Vision Dance Center under the direction of Lee Eaves Mitchell. I spend most of my free time dancing, as I am a part of the competitive All Star teams at The Vision Dance Center, and also on my high school dance team at Sacred Heart. As a solo dancer, I’ve won a number of titles and dance scholarships, and as a team dancer, my teams at Vision have won numerous National and World titles. I am beyond proud to have won my first world title just this year! I love to listen to and dance to classic rock, from bands like Pink Floyd, Queen, and Led Zeppelin, as well as much more current alternative rock. I get to travel all over the states to compete each year, and one of my favorite places to visit is Epcot at Disneyworld in Florida – mostly for the food! You’ll find me most often with my family, working hard on my schoolwork (all A’s so far – fingers crossed!), or dancing at the studio with my best friends, blowing off stress!
