Celebration of Music - Talent Search

My name is John Wayne Mondragon, I'm 13 years old, and I will talk about my life. First, I would like to talk about how I learned to play piano. When I was about 9 or 10, I started to play on a keyboard. I always had it in my room without really doing anything with it until I got bored and just wanted to see if I could play. So then, I finally played my first song. After getting hooked on playing piano, I started playing a lot of other songs that I have self-taught myself to play. It's not until a year of playing that I finally took piano lessons. I'm so happy that I took those lessons, because it not only taught me to read music, but it also taught me techniques and other important things in piano that has really brought out what I can do and what potential I have in music. If I could thank anyone who got me here, I would thank my parents for getting me into piano lessons, and I would also like to thank my piano teacher for teaching me all that I need to know to play the piano. The next thing I would like to talk about is a little bit more about myself. When I was born in El Paso, Texas I was prepared to move to California. But not even a few years of living in there, we moved again to Michigan where I live to this day! Everyday life for me is normal. I would wake up, go to school, come back home, and that would be a typically normal day for me. Sometimes I would do something else, like hanging out with my friends, or go to piano practice, or etc. I also have a few hobbies that I enjoy doing, I like to play golf, and I also like to cook and bake. I also play the clarinet in my middle school band, and I absolutely love the subject of science! I think that making it here will really show my dedication to music and I wish everyone participating in this event the best of luck! I hope you have an amazing day!
