Izabela Veronika Atanaskovski

Izabela Veronika Atanaskovski, 11, is an award-winning vocalist, pianist, dancer and actress based in Northville, MI. She was born in Dearborn, MI and loved to sing since the day she could talk. Izabela currently studies voice and piano under Noelle Jacques and received music training at the Music School of Authority and the Northville School of Music respectively and acting training at Marqui Theater. She has also received numerous accolades for her singing talent. She received first place as a vocalist at several national and regional youth music competitions, including the American Guild of Music (AGM) competition in the international song category in 2015, performing traditional Korean song and in 2016, performing "Santa Lucia" in Italian. Izabela won 1st place in the musical theater category in 2016, performing "My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music. At the 2018 AGM competition, she performed "In My Own Little Corner" from A Little Princess, The Musical and again won first place in the musical theater category. Izabela also performed "Little Mermaid" and "Rise" songs and won 1st and 3rd places. At the 2017 National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition (NATS), she performed "It's Possible" and in the 2018 NATS competition she performed "In My Own Little Corner" from A Little Princess, The Musical and again won first places in the musical theater category for children. Izabela is already an accomplished performer at a very young age. One of her vocal performance credits include singing with The Detroit Opera Theater as part of the Michigan Opera Theater Children's Chorus. She was also featured in Main Street Opera Theater’s 2016 production of Amal and the Night Visitors, the Masters of the Voice Recital Series and Detroit Institute of Art's Inside Out in 2017. Additionally, she's appeared in various high school and community theater productions including Aladdin (Divine Child Theater), The Little Mermaid (Divine Child Theater), The Wizard of Oz (Crestwood High School Theater) and Elf the Musical (Forever After Theater). Along with singing and acting, Izabela, is a dancer for the Performers Edge Dance Company (PEDC) since 2016, specializing in ballet, jazz and lyrical styles and is a member of PEDC's competitive dance team. She also previously trained as a dancer at the Noretta Dunworth School of Dance in ballet, checcetti, jazz, tap and mini-line from 2015 to 2016.

She is inspired by classic and contemporary singers alike. Her favorite song to perform is "Rise" by Katy Perry and her singing idols are Freddie Mercury, Adele and Lana Del Ray. She hopes to one day become an internationally-renowned professional singer and hopes her voice brings joy to people around the world.

In her spare time, Izabela likes to have fun and keeps many different hobbies. She likes to cook diverse foods and make cooking video tutorials, travel to different countries with her family and play with her Yorkshire terrier named Gucci. Izabela is also fluent in Lithuanian, English and Macedonian. She is currently a fifth grade student at Winchester Elementary School, where she has been elected a proud student ambassador for the second year.
