My name is Elizabeth Hendrickson. I was raised in Culbertson, Montana by my father and mother, Wayne and Penny Hendrickson. When I was five years old I was diagnosed with a serious metabolic disorder. It was a very rare disease that caused it so my liver couldn’t break down protein. Because of this, when I did have too much protein I would go into a coma. There were times where my doctors worried I wouldn’t wake up. They didn’t expect me to live very long. At the age of 11 I had gotten very ill and was put on a transplant list. Within 48 hours I received a call for a liver. I was then hospitalized for 4 months and dealt with pretty much every complication in the book. But even during this difficult time, my family and my music were there for me. I am now healthy and living happily. I currently attend Dakota College of Bottineau, I am pursuing a degree in Psychology in hopes to help children who grow up in the hospital much like I did. I hope that my music touches anyone who may be going through a tough time and hope that I can give them even a glimmer of hope through my songs.
