Delaney Jobe

Delaney Jobe was born with rhythm in her feet and the inability to sit still. From the age of four on you could find her dancing in the studio, in her chair at school, or even down the aisles of the grocery store. She trained in all styles of dance including ballet, jazz, hip-hop and contemporary, but she always had a special love for tap. She loved that tap class actually encouraged her to be noisy and she particularly excelled in it. Throughout her younger years Delaney won many awards including regional and national titles, highest scoring soloist, and multiple scholarships to further her dance education. Delaney graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Journalism degree emphasizing in Strategic Communication. Today, Delaney teaches dance in Columbia, MO at CoMotion Dance and also coaches the Jefferson City High School Dance Team. She thinks it is so important to educate and inspire the next generation of tap dancers, she wants to show them that tap is still relevant and cool. Tap is not about dancing to a song it’s about dancing with a song, adding to the music already provided. Her tap shoes are her instruments and she’s ready to share her passion with the world and make her students, friends, family, and herself proud.
