Conor Walsh

Conor Walsh is a singer/songwriter/guitarist born and raised in Poughkeepsie, New York. Conor currently studies Music Industry at the College of Saint Rose in Albany. Conor got his main start by playing music for his friends in his school cafeteria and playing open mics throughout the Hudson Valley. Today, Conor is fond of playing at charity events, street fairs, and festivals, along with Hudson Valley music venues, because of the community and camaraderie they bring.

Conor released his first self-recorded/produced album, Spend Some Time back in the November of 2017, and has recently released an EP called By Your Side back in May of 2018. His song, Spend Some Time, received notoriety as it was featured in and was a finalist for The Taste of Country Hometown Risers Contest back in December of 2017. One can find Conor's music on most music distribution and streaming sites, such as Spotify, iTunes, Google Play, Pandora, Amazon Music, YouTube, and more. Besides performing his own original music, Conor has been working in love sound as early as middle school, and worked briefly as a promoter/sound technician at Pauly's Hotel in Albany. He now currently does audio and ushers as a student volunteer at Massry Center of Performing Arts, along with hosting and emceeing open mics and a variety of music events on campus.

He also is fond of theatre, taking roles on and off stage throughout high school and college, playing the likes of Professor Harold Hill in a rendition of The Music Man and Mr. Banks in a rendition of Mary Poppins, being sound manager for a rendition of Noises Off, and stage manager for shows such as Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and Good People. Conor also hosts an inspirational/musical web series called Walsh Wednesday, which has included the talents of some of his brilliant fellow student musicians, documenting charity events such as St. Rose's Relay For Life, and interviewing the likes of The Hudson Valley's "Morning Mayor," 92.1's radio host Joe Daily, and internationally known performing duo, 3Oh! 3.

Conor is ecstatic to share his music with the world. He says, "Music is the greatest form of communication because I believe it expresses emotions better than any other language."
