Celebration of Music - Talent Search

Christopher Morgan is a 23-year-old singer/musician from Liberty, MO. Christopher grew up around music and has been honing his artistic talents for nearly as long as he can remember.As an avid member of his schools’ choir, orchestra and theatre programs, Christopher’s passion for performance drove him to seek out new opportunities and to always keep improving. In between maintaining a 4.0 GPA and earning the rank of Eagle Scout, Christopher participated in State Music Contest as both a singer and violist, became a member of the Missouri All-State Choir two years in a row, took part in community theatre and was invited to sing the national anthem at a Kansas City Royals baseball game. Before graduating from Liberty High School in 2014, Christopher was hired for his first professional singing gig: a country music show at Worlds of Fun Amusement Park, where he and a cast of five other singers performed 26 shows a week. After that summer ended, Christopher attended Southeast Missouri State University where he double majored in Theatre and Economics. While there, he continued to develop and expand his repertoire: taking singing lessons, acting and dance classes, learning to play the piano and even how to pull off a convincing on-stage swordfight. Christopher also gained an appreciation and passion for directing in his time at SEMO. During his senior year, Christopher directed a one-act play, an amateur short film, a cabaret of villain songs called VaudeVillains and worked on a local production of Bye Bye Birdie. Christopher’s dream is to one day work on Broadway, and he would like to thank his family, friends, professors and everyone behind Celebration of Music for supporting that dream.
