Bert Malcom is a South Dakota native but the young musician was raised in Nebraska after being put in the foster care system at the raw age of just 5 along with his three brothers and one sister whom were all divided into different homes once placed into the system, it was a very heartbreaking moment for him in his early childhood.

A couple years later after having been shuffled around through different foster homes and dealing with various types of hardships at a young age he was adopted by Kent Malcolm whom Bert describes as jolly, loving and caring, a bit of solace after such madness.

Kent helped Bert pursue a dream in acting and got him into acting classes at age 12 he then went on to perform throughout high school and singing and acting and different stage performances and short films such as "Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf" "Sweeney Todd" "Friday's Child", he became a perfectionist and would practice and practice learning with every play. Being on stage was something that he didn't just like to do but loved to do, his soul was still very restless he craved to know his hometown and his biological family at age 17 he decided to go and find the family that he so desperately wanted to know and traveled back to Rapid City, SD. He was reunited with his family and his mother Deborah dismounts thrice regardless of the family dysfunction he encountered upon returning home, he was happy to have the chance of getting acquainted and to know them after being separated for such a long time.

He then traveled on pursuing modeling, singing and teaching himself to play the guitar. Yet like many young men bert was on a quest to find himself he had learned passion being able to fight his demons with his poetic words and his ability to turn his pain into power and create music.

He then went to pursue music and ended up in Venice Beach, California where he worked on his craft he became another fish in the city of dreams. He then kept traveling to learn as much as he possibly could about music his sound and himself. After leaving Venice Beach and developing his sound he ventured on homeless and drifting yet the young artist did not go unnoticed he was then asked to be on the radio multiple times, the newspaper, modeling and magazines and movies.

After his vast travels and adventures he has recently taken some time to stay home as he planted roots with the birth of his first daughter Sophia Amora as well as was completely reunited with his brothers Christmas of last year. Bert Malcom continues to inspire and create in his community and is striving harder than ever to turn his story into a future for his creative passion as a musician.
