Celebration of Music - Talent Search

Avery Grace Markakis was born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 4th, 2006. She is a singer that also has a background in acting and dance. Avery started singing at the same time that she began talking, which was very early. She is currently a student of the Loch Raven Technical Program’s Performing Arts Magnet Program and a former student of the Baltimore School of Rock. Avery has had the opportunity to participate in multiple performances. She was cast in her Middle School’s performances of “You’re a Good Boy Charlie Brown” and “Aladdin”. She has performed the National Anthem at multiple York Revolution minor league baseball games, for local recreation councils and even regional cheerleading competitions. She has also participated in numerous after school choirs, percussion groups and talent shows. Avery never misses an opportunity to perform.

Avery has a very large family which consists of 4 sisters, 4 dogs and 2 cats. Avery’s parents, step-parents, grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles are her biggest fans. Avery also participates in numerous other extracurricular activities. She has been playing softball for over 8 years, takes dance lessons at Underground Dance Academy and has participated in local tumbling, soccer and cheerleading organizations. When she is home she is probably singing, cuddling her pets or spending time with friends and family.

Avery has always been known for her big heart and loves to pick people up when they’re down. She often uses her gift of music to accomplish this. She hopes to one day be a professional singer, teacher and softball coach with a home full of rescue animals.
