Alexis Kurtz

I finished my four years at Eastern Connecticut State University in May of 2016 as a University Honors Scholar, completing a BA in Theatre with a concentration in Acting/Directing, and a minor in English. As an Honors Scholar, my undergraduate research and thesis focused on linguistics for the stage. Since graduation, I have had the pleasure of working consistently in my field, performing with the Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport in, "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," and in Yeston's, "Phantom." I've also had the pleasure to perform in both the tour and encore tour of, "Earth Day Everyday," which was written and directed by ECSU alumni and sponsored by CREC as an EverSource initiative for students all around Connecticut. I've dabbled in some film projects as well, and I've recently been accepted into the Young Artists Program at Madison Lyric Stage, where I will be performing in upcoming productions of, "Godspell," and "Company," this summer, as well as receiving further coaching and masterclasses in the opera discipline by internationally renowned artists. In other news, I love my wonderful friends, family, coaches, and all things Doo-Wop. If you can’t find me on a stage or in rehearsal, I’m probably working one of my side hustles or snuggling with my bunnies whom I love with all my heart.
