Celebration of Music - Talent Search

I am 20 years old and have been singing for the last 5 years. I grew up in a small town in the middle of Minnesota and graduated highschool there. The last two years of highschool is when I started to take voice lessons and play guitar and piano. During that time I had the opportunity to sing with the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra, which was a high point of my highschool carreer! After I graduated I decided that I was going to college in Nebraska at Concordia University as a music major. This is also about the time I started writing my own music (or atleast trying to). I love writing and playing music because it has the ability to move and inspire people. I am involved in the A Cappella choir at school and am taking voice, piano, and composition lessons. Currently, I am taking the semester off to work back home in Minnesota. I will be returning back to school in the spring.

This summer I was able to write this song called “Our Better Way”. The song is written about two people in a relationship that needs to be started new. They need to find a better way before they can move forward and that is the hope of the main character. Please enjoy my original song “Our Better Way”.
