Tim Lynch
My name is Tim Lynch. I am 19 years old and I’m from East Hampton, Connecticut. I go to school at the University of Connecticut. I am a sophomore Mechanical Engineer. Other than music, I am a blackbelt in Kenpo Karate.
I’ve been listening to music all my life. I used to fall asleep to the Beatles as a baby (or so I’m told). I started playing music after I took a music class all about guitar in middle school. My dad bought me my first guitar. For the first year I taught myself how to play, but I hit a rut when I wanted to learn how to solo. So, I started taking lessons at Conn Valley Music School in Portland, CT. I was there for about 4 years through High School. I had to stop when I went to college. I’ve been writing music ever since I started playing, and I use Garageband to record most of what I write.
I play acoustic guitar and sing by myself when I play live. I’m very excited to be a part of this competition!
