Celebration of Music - Talent Search

Soraya is an 11 year old from Canton, Massachusetts. She has been acting and singing since she was 4. She dreams of being on Broadway someday. She loves seeing broadway performances. Her favorite so far have been Lion King and Wicked.

She currently performs at Grove Manor assisted living facility in Braintree where her mother works. It has been a great way to overcome her stage fright. She decided to film her actual performance seen here in front of her first fans of Grove Manor.

Soraya is currently on the teen competition team at Bay Colony Performing Arts Academy. She adores her close friends and teachers that have helped her grow every year. Sorayaʼs favorite performances have been in Peter Pan, Matilda and Moana.

Her most memorable experiences thus far have been at Broadway Artist Alliance camp in New York City where she trained with the best in the business and grew so much with this experience.

Her favorite activities when she isnʼt singing, dancing and acting are softball volleyball, and gymnastics.

Her “Climb” right now is surviving middle school and all the homework that goes along with it!

She has also been a Girl Scout since the second grade. Her favorite Girl Scout activities are camping and volunteering.

Soraya and her family vacation every summer in Matunuck, Rhode Island where they enjoy the simple cottage life with lots of sunshine and biking. Soraya has a younger sister and brother. She hopes to get her mom to cave one day and get a dog!
