Sarah Anderson

Sarah Anderson is an enthusiastic singer and performer from New Orleans, Louisiana. Her interest in music started early in life by expressing melodies as a baby, unusual as her singing started before learning to speak. This natural interest in music was noticed by her parents and grandparents, leading to a clear direction in fostering a love of music. The journey began with an influence from former Ursuline Academy Music Director and Grammy Award nominee, Benjamin Viguerie in choir and theatre, where she currently attends school. She has also been a student of classical and traditional piano of Moldavian State Conservatory graduate, Irina Vychko at her school since the first grade. This soon led to a fateful connection with Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts (LAAPA) instructor, noted author, and lead musician of K. & The Ra-Ra Racket, Katarina Boudreaux who has elevated her potential in voice and piano. Recently she joined Billy’s Kids, a kid’s rock band, assembled of LAAPA students in assistance with LAAPA instructor, Bill Solomon. Sarah also has started taking guitar lessons with Bill, which she enjoys making up funny songs during lessons. She participated with the New Orleans Children’s Chorus (NOCC) Orpheum Holiday Spectacular, at the Orpheum Theater along with the 610 Stompers and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. Mixed in with her music aspirations, she was featured in AMC’s Preacher and participated with the National WWII Museum, musical theatre summer performances. When Sarah is not enjoying music she is often making slime, baking, cooking, gardening with her Mom, Carol and helping her Dad, Ben fix and build stuff. She loves babies, cats and dogs, looking up youtube talent videos (her favorite is One Direction – Story of My Life Parody, which makes her cry laughing), or slime ideas, and riding her bike.
