Rebecca Silva, the small town girl of Rockland, Massachusetts, is delighted to be apart of the Celebration of Music Talent Contest. Rebecca Silva has been performing on stage for most of her life. Some highlights of her performances are in 25 Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, A Christmas Carol and The Odd Couple. Her most proud accomplishment in theater was being awarded “Best Actor” for her role as Gremio in Taming of the Shrew by the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild. Rebecca has also starred in a number of short films, music videos, webseries and television pilots; Hearing Without Listening and Darkness In The Valley to just name a few. Though, Rebecca’s performance in the short film Brandon, in which she plays the lead female role of Anna, helped propel its win of best motion picture at Campusmoviefest. Aside from acting, music is her other passion. Rebecca has starred in a music video entitled Remedy, as well as competed on the Emmy Award winning television show, Community Auditions as a Semi-Finalist. She also made it through the preliminary rounds of the “The X-Factor”.

Rebecca is currently working on an original album of her own. She has thus far completed two songs, and she is hoping to debut music videos alongside them. She passionately believes that this project will be a true blessing to all.

Rebecca would like to thank her grandfather, James Fontaine, for encouraging her to audition for the Celebration of Music. If it weren’t for him, she would have missed this golden opportunity. Rebecca would also like to thank Amanda Marie, owner of the vintage clothing line Salvato.Collection, for her faithful friendship and talented eye for photography. Being a signature model of Salvato. Collection has enabled Rebecca to grow as a model, actress and singer. Another person Rebecca would like to thank is her eighty-eight year old vocal instructor Normma. Normma, although stern at times, has been one of her biggest supporters. She has taught Rebecca how to properly utilize her true voice. She will continue studying Normma’s technique as it is a practice that will ever refine her craft. Rebecca also wants to recognize and appreciate the blessings of having supportive parents, and would like to thank them for being her “biggest fans”. And lastly and most importantly, she wants to thank God for the gift of song, and for putting all of the pieces together and carrying her this far.
