Rachel Kastner (8) was born in Florida to a musical family. Her parents recognized her talent and began teaching her to play the piano when she was two years old. Rachel had her first public performance before she turned three.
Rachel was awarded second place in both the 2015 and 2016 FGCU/Steinway piano competitions (K-3 category), and in 2017 she won first prize. She loves being on stage and performing, and enjoys volunteering to perform at her school, church, and local retirement communities. Rachel enjoys many styles of music, and was selected to sing the National Anthem at her 3rd grade concert. She also loved participating in productions of Aladdin Jr. and Annie. Rachel has studied piano with both Lan Lam and Milana Strezeva.
Rachel loves school and was recently voted onto her Student Council. Outside of school, she enjoys volunteering at a local food pantry, running, softball, swimming, ice skating, baking, gymnastics, water skiing, and spending time with her family. Rachel is thrilled to participate in Celebration of Music!
