Lerato Ragontse

Lerato Ivana Ragontse is a 15 year old high school sophomore who dances in a pre professional program at The Mid Atlantic Center for the Performing Arts in Baltimore, MD. Lerato was born in Connecticut, and grew up in Baltimore in a multicultural household with parents from Botswana and Croatia. Lerato has her dance training from some of the most talented teachers in the region, who have helped her perfect her ballet, pointe, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, modern and improv. She has placed 4th at Headliners nationally in 2016, NYCDA regional outstanding dancer 2017 winning scholarships to Steps on Broadway for a summer intensive that year as well as a Friday night session scholarship. This year, Lerato placed top 12 for her contemporary solo, Fragile (choreographed by Ms Shannon Torres and Ms Danielle Homan) at Youth America Grand Prix in Pittsburgh as her first time in the senior division then placed 3rd a few weeks later and top 24 for her ballet variation in North Carolina 2018. Lerato has modeled for Covalent, a dance wear line based in Baltimore. She has been featured on a blog called Cool Progeny for a dance series called Portrait of a Dancer photographed by Ruzica Puskas Photography. Recently Lerato has been named as a Russian Pointe Dancer 2018, also known as an RPdancer.
