Kate Peytavin

Kate Peytavin is 13 years old and in the seventh grade at Prairieville Middle School in Prairieville, Louisiana, just outside of Baton Rouge. Kate started singing in the third grade when she asked to audition for the school talent show. Her singing career took off when she rewrote the words to Lukas Graham’s ‘Seven Years’ and surprised her dad, who is currently fighting cancer, by singing to him for Father’s Day in front of family and friends in downtown Baton Rouge. That video went viral and has been viewed millions of times all over the world. That video kicked off Kate’s YouTube career, where she is approaching 100,000 subscribers and 11 million views. She has since had several other viral singing videos where she sings in public restrooms and one where she sings for a young friend fighting cancer. She was invited to sing in a video project for International Women’s Day by song writer/music producer Oren Sharon, out of Israel. She and 50 other women from around the world sang “Surround the World”. Her next singing project is with the American Cancer Society and their Road to Recovery program.

Kate started expressing an interest in acting around the same time she began singing. She became involved in musical theatre and fell in love with the stage, but still felt like something was missing. A friend recommended Debby Gaudet’s Screen Actors Studio, which became the final piece to the puzzle. Kate has been working with Debby for two years and absolutely loves learning from her and being on set. Within a few short months she was signed on with Trinity Talent Agency and began auditioning for local projects. Kate’s first job was a public service announcement, shortly after she started booking short films, music videos, commercials, pilots, voiceovers and web series.

Kate also works as an app influencer, creating and sharing featured videos for a few different apps. She has a passion for kindness and no tolerance for bullies. Twice she has donated her hair to charities and now has a mission to raise money and awareness for Li-Fraumeni Syndrome Association and Dr. Schiffman’s cancer research at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. She has the pleasure of being the youngest cousin on both sides of her family. She runs for her school’s track team and has been on the honor roll every semester since Kindergarten. Kate feels honored to be chosen to participate in the Celebration of Music and is excited to sing with Ethan.
