Kara Frazier

Singer/songwriter Kara Frazier combines modern and classic R&B/Soul, pop and jazz elements into a contemporary powerhouse sound. She taps into her complicated past - growing up in church and a divided home - to fuel her bold songwriting.

After self-releasing a string of singles, her first major success came with 2018's debut single "Deliver Me" produced by GRAMMY-winner Shannon Sanders (India.Arie, Marc Broussard, John Legend). Heavily promoted through independent efforts, the single received radio support from Jacksonville's 95.1 WAPE and Nashville's Lightning 100 and features on Spotify playlists such as Grey's Anatomy Season 15 (250k+ followers). Frazier was recently chosen as a featured artist of Swisher Sweets' Artist Project.

Raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Frazier began singing and songwriting at age ten and latched onto the music of Nina Simone, Otis Redding, and Etta James to name a few. Vocally, she derives her influence from singers like Adele and Amy Winehouse.

Now based in Nashville, the Belmont University alumni was selected to perform in the 2017 Emergence series, a partnership show by the Bluebird and the Nashville Ballet for the city's most promising up-and-comers. She has collaborated with bands like R&B/Funk outfit, The Aquaducks, and opened on tour for Stax Records' group, Southern Avenue, Mr. B, CAMM and more.
