Jackson Catron

Jackson Catron is a 14-year-old singer, actor, and musician that attends Belle Chasse Middle School in Belle Chasse, Louisiana, just outside New Orleans.

Jackson recently represented his District at the 2018 Louisiana Jr. Beta Convention in Lafayette, Louisiana. Jackson selected the song Hallelujah to showcase his vocal talents in the Special Talents portion of the competition which brought over 14,000 youth to their feet in a standing ovation during his performance. Jackson won first place in the Special Talents division and will go on to represent the entire state of Louisiana at the National Convention held in Savanah Georgia June

Jackson is a 5 year member of Layaya (Louisiana Young Authors and Young Artists) where he studies acting, musical theater and vocals. Jackson is also in the BCMS gifted music program and band where he is studying guitar as well as trumpet. Jackson is an honor student and is a member of the Beta Club and Green Ops Program.

Jackson has attended the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts(NOCCA) for the past 2 years in the musical theatre department.

Jackson has always loved music and started crawling to the beat of a jingle on television. Once he could stand and then walk, he began dancing and singing and hasn’t stopped since.

Jackson’s family, friends and community are proud of his accomplishments in the performing arts arena, but are just as proud of the compassion and selflessness he shows when trying to help other and give back to his community.
