Celebration of Music - Talent Search

Hi, my name is Izzy Azaria and I am 11 years old. I am in fifth grade.

I love to act, sing and dance. However, my first love is definitely singing!

My dream is to play Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway. I've seen the show three times and I will see it again as soon as I get another chance.

I have covered quite a few songs and I know I am aiming high by covering the absolute Legends: Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Barbra Streisand, Adele, Amy Winehouse and Alicia Keys. But the way I see it is I am learning from the absolute best by trying their songs, and they’re so awesome!

Since my parents listen to a broad range of music, I came to know and appreciate most types of music while I was still in diapers. My very first song I performed was Barbra Streisand - Don't Rain on My Parade! I must say that the biggest influence on me with regards to music was watching the TV show GLEE. They performed songs from so many artists that I love and really motivated me to try all the songs I love.

I also enjoy acting and I get to perform in a few plays a year. I am in a competition team for Tap and Jazz and also a regular team that includes Tap, Jazz and Ballet. My favorite is Tap though. If you see me standing still for a few minutes, it probably won’t be long before I start tapping around (it doesn’t matter if I am in boots, no tap shoes required).

I love playing video games too, I love to play Mario Bros, and Mario Kart. I also love creating worlds in Minecraft and Roblox. I probably spend way too much time doing that but, it’s so much fun!
