Fate Awaits

Fate Awaits is a 4-member rock band from Reno, Nevada that includes Miyah Walker (vocals), Manning Gray (guitar/vocals), Landon Gray (bass/vocals) and Scott Courts (drums). This band of highly talented young people formed in November of 2016. They are primarily a cover band but have some original music that they add into their lineup. They play a wide variety of music dating back to the 60’s all the way through current rock hits. When they are on stage the fact that their ages range from 12-15 completely disappears and all you see or hear is a band of polished musicians. They have already opened for bands touring through Reno. You will currently find them performing in concert halls and bars across Reno, Sparks and Virginia City.

Manning Gray is the youngest member of the rock band, “Fate Awaits.” He is known for his awesome guitar riffs and unique stage presence. Manning lives for entertaining the crowd and dreams of playing at Knot Fest someday. He is a dedicated and passionate artist with a strong will and determination to share his love for music. Manning is in middle school but plays as well as many guys far older than him. As a key former player in the Reno Rock Camp, Manning helped secure the Forte Award in the Rock category and looks forward to becoming part of the professional music community around the globe.

Scott Courts is one of the best young drummers in Reno, NV. He has been playing drums since the age of 10. He is currently with a band made up of talented young people called Fate Awaits. Scott has performed with a couple of local groups; Reno Rock Camp and Video Game Symphony. Scott is a true percussionist, he scored the highest score possible at the middle school solo competition. He enjoys not only playing the set in a rock band but he is also in the indoor drumline at Reed High School. His goal is to keep getting better at the drums and perform internationally. It is Scott’s talent at such a young age that makes him stand out.

Landon Gray is the bassist and acoustic guitarist of the rock band, “Fate Awaits.” He is known for his ability to play multiple instruments and interact with the crowd. Landon’s greatest goal is to make the world a better place by playing with his heart and making others happy through music. Landon was nominated for Best Bassist at the 2017 Forte Awards and as a key former player in the Reno Rock Camp, Landon helped secure the Forte Award in the Rock category and looks forward to becoming part of Northern Nevada’s talented professional music community.

Miyah Walker is the lead vocalist of the Rock Band, "Fate Awaits." She has been singing since before she could talk, whether it is in her room by herself, the school choir or in front of friends and family. She has always had some kind of music in her life. She has such a bubbly, fun personality which makes her so much fun to watch when she is on stage. Miyah has competed in her high school talent show. Miyah is a former member of Reno Rock Camp, and was one of the key members when they won the Forte Award in the Rock category. Miyah looks forward to perusing her passion of music and can’t wait to see where this road leads.
