David Lee

David Lee is 12 years old and has a passion for music that surpasses his age. David’s first love is the guitar. He began playing guitar at four years old. By age five he was performing in front of live audiences both as a solo artist and with his music academy Rockstars of Tomorrow. David recorded his first original single at age 6 and donated the song and it’s proceeds to Rex Fest Foundation to raise support and awareness for children and adults with Down Syndrome. His goal is to inspire young and young at heart through his songs and performances and to make a difference through music. He is honored to have been selected as a contestant for the Celebration of Music and looks forward to what the future holds.

Today, David is a multi-instrumentalist, singer songwriter, actor and a loyal friend. He is avid advocate for RexFest Foundation, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Relay for life and our military. David has had the honor to win several talent and song writing competitions. Most recently in 2016, David was selected as the Blues Kid of the year by the Blues Kids Foundation. He has also been featured in several commercials, news reports and music videos. David is the lead singer and guitarist for Minor Strut a rock and roll band from the Inland Empire. He co-wrote the songs on their debut EP Connected and the band has recently won recognition for their song Racing to Somewhere. He is also the praise team leader for the youth worship band at the Crossings in Eastvale. David has had the honor to play alongside iconic musicians such as Delgado Brothers, Johnny Tempesta of the Cult, John Avila and Johnny Vatos of Oingo Boingo, and more.

David’s musical influences are eclectic but include the legends of Rock n Roll including Elvis, Johhny Cash, The Beatles, Journey, Guns n Roses, Tom Petty, Queen, Green Day and the Foo Fighters. He also draws influence from the legends of Motown and current bands such as Panic! of the Disco and Royal Blood. David’s music hero is Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters and he draws inspiration from all his instructors at Rockstars of Tomorrow which include Michael Anderson, Chuck Jackson, Jericho Law, Ben Rico, and Carla Boe.
