Corey Martin

Corey Martin was born and raised in Memphis, TN. He is currently a senior music major minoring in mass communication at Alcorn State University. There he is a member of the distinguished ASU Men’s Chorale, ASU Concert Choir, and the illustrious ASU Chamber Choir.

Also while attending Alcorn State, he help establish the organization “Voicing Your Black Expressions” better known as V.Y.B.E. Never afraid of the spotlight, he began performing specifically in church at the early age of four. Since then he hasn’t stopped and has been on a tear of stages ever since. Coming from a diverse musical background, Mr. Martin does it all, whether its pop, r&b, soul, rock, jazz, and even classical!

Always known for his high energy and amazing crowd engagement he has performed not only all over Memphis and primarily the east coast, but on the world renowned stage of Carnegie Hall in New York City, and he’s also traveled to Spain, Portugal, and Italy twice on a gospel tour. He plans to continue to tour the world and bless others with his voice and to give back to the community in any way he possibly can. With his pioneering ways, he wants to redefine music and be the light of the world. He often says “while I’m on stage, I want you to forget about everything else that’s outside and just have a good time!”
