Celebration of Music - Talent Search

My name is Christiane Santisteban I am 17 years old from Jackson TN. my performance piece is an original composition of mine, named DreamScape. Dream scape is made up of 4sections. The first chords are from a section of song I created in 2010, it was my first formal composition, Of the top of my head.Then the second part of the song is made up of the first 4 notes that made up my first melody I ever made when I touched a piano in 09'. The third part of my song is a short melody I dreamed

Recently this year. Last but not least the last part of my song the big claims was also dreamed. Therefore that's why the song is named dreams scape

I first stranded playing the piano in 2009 I was 9 years old st the time. It was at my dads house he was renting there was a piano. According to my dad I simply sat down to play a few notes and before he realized I strartedplaying little songs I made up and then I'd start playing songs I knew by ear and the creating huge original songs.Unfortunately i did not know my talent was a bit worthy so for many years I neglected learning music therory , but I did keep playing by ear and composing my own songs on the daily.Though I created many songs I only performed three Of the top my head, Grandpap ,and another song which I can not recall the name I gave it.it wasn't until 2016 that I realized I had a bit of talent and that music theory was crucial to my learning. Then not knowing how to sight read well I took on a job at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and have forced myself to sight read on the spot. I am still currently learning more everyday and composing.

Even though I have not had as much performing experiences with piano Ihave had many with other art forms. I was a ballerina for 7 years and I started point in 2011. I was in many ballets and nutcrackers.i also learned flamenco, contemporary, modern , and character. I have been in choirs since middle school and still am current and still am singing. I have been in two high school musical productions, Music man and Peter Pan. I also did cross country and track in middle school and have played soccer in high school for two years.

Fun facts about me: I was born in Guatemala City and speak Spanish as my native language and English as my second. I have a huge family of 6 siblings, 5 bothers and one 2 month old baby sister. I love all animals but my favorite animal is a cat. I love food, the color pink , anything pretty , fluffy , and kind . Over all I love people and making others smile!
