Catie Martin
My name is Catie Martin. I was born and raised in Boston and have been singing since day one. Between drama rehearsals and voice lessons I was always singing as a kid. Many people have told me I have an old soul. I enjoy singing songs of the 60s and 70s. Hearing the music of my generation always made for a fun ride in the car but there was nothing better than hearing janis joplin whale on the mic or jimmy page shred of guitar. It took me quite a while to find my own personal sound. Many vocal teachers advised me to go with country but my heart was with rock n roll. I feel I have found a way to incorporate blues and rock n roll with a new age tiwst to make something current that no one has seen or done before. In my submission video I am singing Imagine by John Lennon, a classic rock song that I hold dearly to my heart. With all that is happening around us I believed it would be a good fit.
