Celebration of Music - Talent Search

My Name is Caleigh Proulx, I’m 11 years old from Woodbury, MN. I started dancing at Woodbury Dance Center at age 2, my mom thought it would be a fun thing to try. By age 5 I joined their competition team and have been loving it ever since! We get to participate in regional and national competitions and travel to fun places. We just came back from Virginia Beach in June.

I’m also entering 6th grade at Nova Classical Academy in St Paul, where I can practice my other skills, like public speaking and being virtuous!

At school, I have won public speaking awards and had my Bayeux Tapestry artwork displayed by local businesses in St Paul’s annual Art Crawl. I’ve been blessed to have held titles, both local and nationally inpageantry. I’m a graduate of Premier School of Modeling. And I was lucky enough to be selected to model for Kelle Company in their 2019 Dancewear Catalog.

I have an older brother Caden and a younger sister Audrey, 3 rescue cats and a dog, Fergie. We have a busy house full of activities, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m so grateful for my family and all the opportunities we get to experience together!

Being diagnosed with epilepsy in Kindergarten encouraged me to become active in community service and help others. I have been lucky to be seizure free but will continue my support to the Epilepsy Foundation.

I love learning and challenging myself in all styles of dance. But lyrical is probably my favorite to perform. I love ballet and the strong influence it has in the lyrical style and hope to someday perform in the Nutcracker.

Dance has been an amazing journey for me and allowed me to grow in so many ways, especially expressing myself and discovering what I’m truly capable of. I’m thankful to all my teachers and friends that have encouraged and guided me along the way and to where I am today! I wouldn’t be here without you.
